Beta Access Terms

1. What Beta Access Includes

Beta users get free access to Midrung during the beta period. When Midrung reaches general availability (1.0), beta users receive a permanent 20% discount on any subscription plan for as long as their account remains active.

2. Limited Availability

Beta access is limited to 15 businesses. Signing up for early access does not guarantee a beta spot. Access will be rolled out progressively as the application stabilizes and bugs are resolved. We will scale our beta user count gradually until we reach 15 active businesses, at which point beta enrollment will close.

3. Invite Expiration

When a beta invite is sent, the recipient has 7 days to accept and create their account. Invites not accepted within 7 days may be cancelled and the spot offered to the next business on the waitlist.

4. Activity Requirement

Beta access is intended for businesses actively evaluating Midrung. Accounts that are inactive for 30 consecutive days (no logins, no data entry, no activity) may be suspended. When an account is suspended for inactivity:

• All data is retained — nothing is deleted
• The beta spot may be offered to another business
• The suspended business can request reactivation if a spot becomes available

5. Storage Limits During Beta

Beta accounts are subject to storage limits that may be lower than production tiers. These limits will be communicated when your beta access is activated. Storage limits will be removed when you subscribe to a paid plan at general availability.

6. Data and Privacy

Your data belongs to you. We do not access, analyze, or share your business data except as necessary to operate the service. Our full Privacy Policy applies to beta accounts. You can export your data via CSV at any time.

7. Beta Software — Expect Bugs

Beta software will have bugs. Features may be incomplete, workflows may change, and things will break. That's the nature of beta — you're using software that's still being built. By participating, you acknowledge that:

• Bugs, errors, and unexpected behavior will occur
• Features may change, be added, or be removed during beta
• Downtime may occur for updates, maintenance, and bug fixes
• We will make reasonable efforts to preserve your data but cannot guarantee zero data loss during beta
• The 20% lifetime discount is contingent on maintaining an active subscription after launch

8. Bug Reports & Feedback

We actively encourage bug reports and feature suggestions. Your feedback directly shapes the product. When you find something broken, confusing, or missing — tell us. That's the whole point of beta. We're building this for shops like yours, and your input ensures we get it right.

9. Transition to Paid Plans

When Midrung reaches general availability, beta users will be notified at least 30 days in advance. At that point, you can choose any subscription plan at a permanent 20% discount. If you choose not to subscribe, your account will be locked (data preserved for 90 days) following the same process as described in our Terms of Service.
